Mnet Asian Music Awards 2020 nominations: BTS, BLACKPINK, IU, Kang Daniel and more nominees for MAMA 2020

December for Korean music fans means awards season and very recently the Mnet Asian Music Awards 2020 revealed the date of the popular awards ceremony in Korea. On December 6th, starting at 6 p.m. KST (2:30 p.m. IST), we’ll find out who the big winners of MAMA 2020 will be. Additionally, via Soompi, the list of nominations for MAMA 2020 is also finally released.

Regarding the criteria for the final winners; The Artist of the Year and Artist Category awards will be based on 30% official votes, 30% jury, 20% digital song sales and 20% physical album sales, while the song of the year award and song genre category categories will be based on 20%. official votes, 40% jury, 30% digital song sales and 10% physical album sales. Album of the Year will be based on 40% juries and 60% physical album sales, while Global Icon of the Year and Global Top 10 Fans will be based on 60% official votes, 20% social media votes and 20% world music. video views. Finally, the best music video will be based on a panel of 70% judges and 30% global video clip views.

To be eligible for the MAMA 2020 nominations, the music had to be released between October 24, 2019 and October 28, 2020. Voting has officially started and will continue until December 5 at 11:59 p.m. KST (8:29 p.m. IST).
